This area of the Owners' Association website is dedicated to helpful and hopefully interesting articles.
One of the slogans of Polaris World is that owners on their resorts are able to 'live the dream'. Although most of us aspire to this, life is not always plain sailing. Living in another country with its different language and regulations can make matters even more confusing.
Spain is no different to many countries in that the majority of its official processes appear to be bound up in red tape. When you don’t know the language or even the basics of the system it can soon become a nightmare.
Fortunately in the Association we are able to support each other navigate through some of the issues. However when the going gets tough there is nothing more reassuring than having real experts on your side.
We hope that everyone will be able to contribute to our Advice Centre, sharing with everyone the benefits of the experiences you have gained. This could be from useful information you got when moving to Spain, help on what to do if you need medical assistance or where to go to get a bargain.
We have the benefit of some excellent articles written by Tina Tait. Tina is the Director of The Help and Advice Centre for Spanish Living in Santiago De La Ribera. She and her team have provided help and advice to a great many. The Centre is able to offer practical help and advice in a great many areas. Tina understands what people are going through and sums this up by saying her Centre is about ‘.. fair people helping fair people! We know how it feels to be taken advantage of when dealing with the very special and specific challenges one faces moving to a foreign country...’
It helps to be prepared – as articles appear dealing with a great many everyday topics it may help to take a few notes from them. From personal experience some of our team are most grateful they took one note and that was the phone number of The Help and Advice Centre for Spanish Living. Alternative you might contact them through their website http://www.helpcentrespain.com
